At Francesco del Re we use only the finest clay for our ceramics, resulting in the exclusive Terraforte*.
* Terraforte: Compound of processed clay material and ground stones fired at a temperature of over 1000 degrees to achieve vitrification.
Terraforte is a product made to last, it increases in value over the years and is the result of a manufacturing process that has been carefully planned down to the smallest detail. Terraforte comes both in its natural colour and in various colours that are a skilful alchemy of clay and pigments, natural minerals which are added to the primary mixture.
The main colours are natural grey, light blue and beige. Black is also used, but it is the only colour that is not added to the mixture.

Our Terraforte
Guaranteed for at least 20 years
Our Terraforte is guaranteed for at least 20 years and can be produced with or without moulds, following original creative lines drawn by our designers or from the customer's imagination.
Black Terraforte is created by melting materials on the surface of finished products during firing. The result after firing is reminiscent of polished lava from Hawaii, hence the characteristic metallic effect that makes it so elegant and sought-after.
